Kathryn TregidGa
Your Howick Senior Physiotherapist
Kathryn has always had an interest in the human body and how it recovers from various injuries. This became evident through her involvement at the Papakura Netball Club and the physical injuries that she witnessed (which also meant a lot of time massaging). It wasn’t until a close family member suffered a debilitating stroke, and seeing the incredible benefits through physiotherapy, that she enrolled into AUT and started her path of being able to do the same for others.
Kathryn now has 8 years experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with this time spent both in East and South Auckland clinics. During this time she has developed a special interest in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and has been a head physiotherapist for multiple sports teams.
She has also gained valuable experience in elder care as the senior physiotherapist in an East Auckland rest home/private hospital. This not only involved providing care to the residents, but also coordinating moving and handling training to their health care assistants and nurses.
Being a mother of two lovely girls, she has also become interested in woman’s health, particularly pregnancy and post-partum related injuries.
